Knuckle Reef Pontoon, Great Barrier Reef

Great Barrier Reef

Knuckle Reef provides an unbelievable world for you to explore. you’ll be blown away by the underwater wonderland while spending the day on Queensland’s most innovative reef pontoon.

The Reef

The Great Barrier Reef is one of the seven great wonders of the natural world, an absolute must-see for anyone visiting the region. Stretching more than 2,300km along the northeast coast of Australia, it is the largest natural feature on earth and can be seen from outer space.

Made up of more than 2,800 coral reefs and boasting a diverse range of colourful marine life, the Great Barrier Reef provides some of the best diving and snorkelling in the world.

The Pontoon

Our spacious pontoon features the largest and most spectacular underwater viewing chamber in the region, undercover seating & tables, sun decks for topping up the tan, freshwater showers, change rooms & a selection of all-inclusive activities to ensure you really make the most of the reef!

Located inside Knuckle Reef Lagoon, our pontoon is situated in shallower waters with protection from the surrounding sea conditions. Boasting its own ecosystem, scientific surveys report nearly 200 different types of fish & over 150 types of coral in the immediate area of our pontoon. Don't be fooled by the so called 'inner-reef' sites, they don't have the same fantastic hard and soft corals and diversity of marine life!
